October 19th, visit to Istanbul Photo Awards

A small group of highly motivated members gathered at Cermodern to see the photo exhibition of the pictures of the year selected by the news agency Anadolu Agency. In 2021, around 15,000 photographs from all around the world applied for this contest. This year Mohammed Shajahan’s photograph title “Mom Love” won the Photo of the Year 2021 award. The photo depicts a moment of social distancing due to Covid-19, leaving all of us with a heart-felt emotion.

We then continued with another photo exhibition organized by the Finish embassy in Ankara, featuring photos by former President Mannerheim which were taken between 1906-1908 on the Silk road. This exhibition will run until 14th November. We highly recommend!
