Our next film is taking place in Ankara and made by a young Director from Ankara! We will go see "Anatolian Leopard", by Emre Kayis.
The story: At Turkey's oldest zoo, a lonely manager decides to hide the death of an Anatolian leopard, in order to stop the privatisation process of the zoo. By faking his escape, he sets in motion an absurd charade that spins out of control.
The Director: Emre Kayis was born in 1984 in Ankara. He has an MA from the Filmmaking dpt of London Film school. His short film "The Translator" has won many awards. This is his first long-film.
It is in competition at the 32nd Ankara International Film Festival taking place from 4 to 12 November 2021.
